About the role
The Medication Technician position at MBK Senior Living is dedicated to providing compassionate, quality resident care and services. This role focuses on assisting residents with medication administration and daily activities, ensuring all actions are documented accurately and in compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Aid residents with their daily medications and resident care as assigned.
- Notify Supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered correctly and document the reasons.
- Maintain clear and accurate records on resident medication and care.
- Track medication orders and report missing medications to the Supervisor.
- Support caregivers by fulfilling their job duties and reporting any resident changes to a supervisor.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resident alerts or requests.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Services and/or Executive Director.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Certification or education as required by state regulations.
- Valid CPR & First Aid certification.
- 1+ years of prior related work experience in a healthcare role.
- Experience handling medications preferred.
Qualifications
- Age 18 or over.
- Completed background, health screening, and negative TB test results within 7 days of employment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Comfortable with technology for documentation.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions and manage stressful or emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently without day-to-day oversight and supervision.
- Positive and professional image in accordance with MBK values.

Pay
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour for FT QMAP (6:00AM-2:00PM).

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.
- Ability to move throughout the workday, in the community, and between neighborhoods.
- Ability to assist in the physical movement of residents during routine transfers and in emergency situations.
