Location Description

The Bartender position at Manor Vail Lodge is located at one of Vail's original and iconic properties. Manor Vail Lodge offers studio, one, two, and three-bedroom condominiums along with luxury penthouses. It features all the amenities of a full-service hotel, including two outdoor heated swimming pools, four hot tubs, spa, fitness center, The Fitz Bar, and Ridge + River restaurant. Located steps from Vail Village, Golden Peak ski area, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Ford Amphitheater, Manor Vail Lodge provides the complete package for Vail lodging. Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.

Overview

The Bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of the bar/restaurant. They are expected to work lunch, après, and dinner shifts. This is a Full Time/Part Time Seasonal Bartender position. Shifts range from 11AM-10PM and the Fitz is open 7 days per week. Ridge + River is open for pre-concert and special events for the summer. The Bartender earns $12.76/hr plus gratuities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Takes orders from customers or Servers.
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
  • Collects money or credit cards for drinks served.
  • Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of F&B Point of Sales Systems.
  • Certificates and Licenses: TIPS Certified or other State Responsible Alcohol Awareness Certificate
