FT Physician Assistant - Reno

The Opportunity:

The Physician Assistant is responsible for the diagnostic evaluation, management, and therapeutic health care of primary care patients of PPH in our Reno Clinic location as well as patients residing in assisted living communities, and residential care homes.

• Obtain history and physical on new patients
• Order/interpret diagnostic tests
• Diagnose and treat chronic conditions and episodic illness
• Perform Advance Care Planning
• Accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
• Carefully coordinates with other members of the care team, both internal and external partners

Qualifications:

• Current Nevada PA license, credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid and health plans PPH is actively contracted with (Senior Care Plus, Prominence, OPTUM,) or has the ability to be enrolled with any health plans.
• Minimum two years experience in specialty care area (Geriatrics) in private physician office, clinic setting or community-based program preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence including strong communications skills and medical knowledge.
• Remains current in licensure according to state regulation.
• Positively represents the practice by communicating to all visitors, patients and staff in an enthusiastic, friendly and professional manner.
• Provides a positive environment and experience with patients
• Actively seeks out methods to support the practice, staff, patients and physicians
• Participates in Continuing Medical Education as required by their governing board
