About the role

IVX Health is seeking an FT Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality, specialized infusion therapy in an outpatient setting. The role involves providing direct patient care, conducting patient assessments, educating and supporting patients, ensuring compliance and quality, optimizing clinical workflows, collaborating with healthcare teams, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
  • Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
  • Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
  • Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
  • Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Flexibly schedule work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted licenses: Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
  • Board Certification: AANP or ANCC certification required.
  • Life Support Certifications: BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
  • Clinical Experience: Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
  • Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population: Must be able to care for patients across the life span—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
  • Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills: Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Documentation: Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
