A Typical Evening Administer medications accurately using the six rights of medication administrationMonitor residents and report changes in condition to licensed nursing staffDocument care and medication administration in the electronic health record (EHR)Maintain medication inventories and coordinate timely reordersComplete narcotic counts at shift change and report discrepancies immediatelyFollow all medication storage, handling, and destruction proceduresCommunicate effectively with nurses, providers, residents, and family membersHelp create a safe, comfortable environment for residents during evening hours Requirements What We Need In a Candidate: Must be at least 18 years of age.High school graduate or equivalent.Experience in all aspects of long term care for the elderly preferred.Minimum one year of proven, documented Med Tech or Medication Aide experience, required. Current SC Nurse Aide Registry C.N.A. Certification, in good standing, preferred.Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain CPR/AED certification upon employment.Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written.Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds).Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material.Ability to represent the Bishop Gadsden community professionally both in manner and appearance.
