About the role

The Rapid Response Technician II, with some to limited supervision, assists with inspecting, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft and engine systems and components on a variety of corporate aircrafts, using Personal Protection Equipment, in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer’s specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in high quality inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining of aircraft and engine systems and components on a variety of aircraft using proper tooling in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner.
  • Accurately orders required parts as needed.
  • Prepares various documents required by Company policy and FAA regulations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency of Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives (AD), and compliance statements.
  • Locates and uses appropriate technical data, follows verbal instructions and accepts directions from other shop personnel when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with area customers, communicates with sales and marketing personnel, and monitors the company’s customer database to seek and solicit aircraft/engine service opportunities.
  • Contacts and calls on customer for aircraft, engine, and APU, or other service support work to meet established financial goals.
  • Responds to customer requests and issues regarding aircraft and engine service work.
  • Manages and maintains adequate and appropriate parts inventory certification, calibrates assigned tooling, working condition and cleanliness of support vehicles.
  • Be available to provide a continuation of service and be a point of contact for internal or external customers before or after scheduled hours of work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
  • Must be a fully licensed A&P in good standing with the FAA.
  • Minimum of four years of Corporate Aviation Maintenance focusing on engine/airframe maintenance experience.
  • Previous Lead Technician or AOG maintenance experience with a Corporate Flight Department, Business Jet Service Provider, MRO or OEM.

Qualifications

  • RII Inspector training completion required within six to nine months.
  • Will perform as a Qualified Inspector within twelve months of hire following training requirements.

Skills

  • Experience working on corporate aircraft and engines.
  • A&P certificate.
  • Experience working on Honeywell TFE731, CFE738, HTF7000 Series Pratt & Whitney 300, 500, 600 & JT15 Series, Williams FJ44 Series, GE CF34 Series, Rolls Royce BR700 Series engines.

Pay

  • $42.50-50.50/hour

Schedule

  • Regularly scheduled attendance required; multiple overnight and short notice travel
