About the role

Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team of caregivers dedicated to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families facing life-limiting conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and homemaking and related assistance to patients.
• Provide direct patient care as instructed by a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Physical Therapist (PT).
• Relieve the primary caregiver for occasional respite.
• Rotates assignments to meet Coastal Hospice program needs 24/7 as required.
• Provides 1:1 care and other patient/family assistance as assigned.
• Communicates effectively and promptly reports any significant changes in the patient's condition.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in Maryland.
• Successful completion of training by hospice regulations and standards.
• The ability to lift, push, pull or move patients, equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of 50 pounds with or without the use of adaptive/assistive devices.
