About the role

The Gun Counter Coordinator reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty. This position is classified as non-exempt/hourly, full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Firearm Sale Procedures & ATF regulations, including the 4473 Form.
  • Avoid unauthorized firearm transfers and ensure compliance with all company and ATF regulations.
  • Assist customers in selecting products and addressing their special order requests.
  • Operate handheld Telxon devices as needed.
  • Authorize and approve the final transfer of weapons directly to customers.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment, adhering to loss prevention and safety procedures.
  • Participate in store and job-related meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and all store employees.
  • Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry-outs.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Able to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
  • Complete special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
  • Illinois residents must carry a valid Firearm Owners Identification [F.O.I.D.] card, and Missouri/Iowa residents must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Pay great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Have a positive attitude and a passion for collaborating with team members who want to grow.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
