Responsibilities
- Takes vital signs and prepares patient medical records for providers.
- Performs phlebotomy and other urgent care duties.
- Accurately collects and tests specimens according to laboratory policies.
- Enters and monitors workflow data using multiple computer systems.
- Maintains a clean environment and ensures patient safety.
- Performs surveillance exams and breath alcohol testing.
- Documents accurately and ensures adequate supplies.
- Supports front desk staff and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Paramedic or EMT license required in Florida.
- High school graduate or equivalent, two years of college preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Office setting experience or equivalent.
Skills
