FT - Equipment Operator I - Operations - Refuse Division

About the role

This position assists in performing semi-skilled and unskilled labor responsible for refuse/recycling collection and disposal, and the Green Waste site. Participate in all work activities, as well as performing a variety of technical tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility. Receives direct supervision from the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Crew Leader.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction and maintenance equipment and power tools such as refuse trucks, dump trucks, front-end loader, skid steer, log splitter, chainsaw, weed-eater, pressure washer compressors, or any equipment used in the Refuse Department as needed.
• Maintain hand tools and assigned equipment; perform preventive maintenance on equipment
