As an Assistant Stock Crew Manager, you will support the Stock Crew Manager with all duties of the Third Shift Center Store Associates to meet financial and sales goals. You will help build associate and customer relationships while promoting a strong culture aligned with Hannaford’s strategy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in hiring, training, and developing associates to meet department needs.
- Support staffing, scheduling, and financial performance of the department as assigned.
- Cut, mark, and stock products as required.
- Assign, delegate, and follow up on tasks to ensure efficient department performance.
- Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect; provide recognition and constructive feedback.
- Role-model appropriate workplace behavior and maintain a positive team environment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Adhere to all standard practices outlined in the Center Store Standard Practices Manual.
- Maintain strong communication within the department and across the organization.
- Uphold high standards of workmanship in all assigned duties.
- Maintain product variety, sales pricing, and displays to meet gross profit goals.
- Ensure proper product rotation and quality condition of all items.
- Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards.
- Oversee department presentation through proper ordering and inventory control.
- Ensure department compliance with pricing (if applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and sales floor areas.
- Follow all company policies and established procedures.
- Work within Hannaford’s Management Planning (MPP) guidelines to sustain productivity.
- Report any equipment repairs or maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, fire prevention, and security standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all store information.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lead and direct department associates.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements, including forklift and power jack training.
- Must meet minimum age requirements.
- Ability and availability to work overnight or early morning shifts.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 20 lbs. regularly (including overhead lifting) and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Meet established volume and activity standards.
- Stand or walk 100% of the time.
- Frequent reaching, grasping, and lifting of stock items below waist or above shoulder level.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and squatting.
- Handle a variety of substances, including cleaning materials, packaging, and food products.
- Tolerate extreme hot or cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
- Use computers, calculators, and communication systems to perform job functions.
Pay
Salary range: $18.95 – $27.25 per hour.
