FT AM & PM Line cooks up to $20/hr. + 401K + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, well-organized, and energetic line cook to join our kitchen crew at Kalapawai Cafe and Deli Waimanalo. The ideal candidate will be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work 36-40 hours per week
• Receive a base hourly wage of $16 plus tips (average $4-$6 per hour)
• Part-time/full-time positions available
• Employer-provided medical benefits through Kaiser Permanente or HMSA

• 25% employee discount on all items sold in the cafe
• Non-slip shoes required
• Prompt attendance is mandatory
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Must be clean, organized, and able to move between stations efficiently
• Basic knife skills are a bonus, but training will be provided
• Perform daily kitchen prep for both lunch and dinner services
• Contribute to general cleaning and facilities maintenance
• Assist with other duties as assigned
• Adhere to chef’s recipes and preferred cooking techniques
• Food safety and sanitation are critical

Requirements

• Valid Hawaii driver’s license
• Current food handler’s permit

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is a plus
