About the role

The FSQA Technician I position at Allen Brothers is responsible for monitoring production processes to ensure that all products meet food and safety quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test raw materials to ensure vendor compliance with specifications and established procedures.
  • Monitor current procedures to assure compliance to required specifications, reporting any findings to QA Manager for needed changes or adjustments.
  • Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status.
  • Perform technical operations such as taking and/or shipping samples, examining/analyzing product, recording results and taking appropriate corrective action.
  • Absorb and analyze product, record results, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist with the completion of reports requested by management.
  • Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures.
  • Basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters.
  • Inputting analytical data.
  • Absorb and analyze product, record results, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist HR with the recruitment, hiring and training of sanitation personnel.
  • Deliver samples for testing to outside laboratories.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to operate a car and maintain valid driver’s license.
