Detailed Responsibilities
- Reporting & Planning
- Assign daily and weekly responsibilities for RTH FSQA Techs and Sanitors, ensuring appropriate resources are available.
- Aid FSQA RTH Superintendent in developing schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
- Create FSQA Supervisor Recap; document any issues and collaborate with FSQA RTH Superintendent for resolution.
- Monitor and report shift metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Quality Control
- Oversee RTH FSQA functions across all process steps, collaborating with production to address any issues.
- Communicate with Production Management about processes not meeting standards and work with relevant parties to resolve them.
- Conduct GMP audits and notify production management of violations; assist in resolving issues.
- Food Safety
- Perform daily, weekly, and/or monthly tasks as directed by FSQA Superintendent and/or FSQA Leadership, including GMP Audits, Metal Detection Verification, Environmental Monitoring Swabbing, Lab Equipment Calibrations, Chemical Titrations, Pre-Shipment Review, Hold Management, and Start of Line and Pre-Operational Inspections.
- Hold team members and cross-functional partners accountable to Home Chef's food safety expectations.
- Verify Food Safety records, including but not limited to: receiving, pre-operational, cook & chill, metal detection, and Pre-Shipment Release.
- Issue Escalation
- Work with FSQA Leadership to resolve food and non-food procurement quality issues within the shift, escalating concerns as necessary.
- People Management
- Oversee training programming, ensuring all components of the Training program are delivered to new RTH FSQA techs and sanitation associates.
- Train, coach, and empower Tempo Quality Techs and Sanitation associates.
- Conduct performance review and corrective action meetings for Tempo Quality Tech and sanitation associates with FSQA Superintendent.
- Other Responsibilities
- Assist in training new employees on Food Safety & Quality and Sanitation practices.
- Escalate Food Safety & Quality issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations to FSQA leadership.
- Manage product holds and assist with dispositions as required.
- Support Production/Sanitation/Safety duties as needed.
- Participate in non-competitive functions, such as sweeping floors and moving product.

- Treat co-workers with respect.
- Report attitude issues among RTH hourly associates to FSQA superintendent or Manager.
- Collaborate effectively with Production.
- Show ownership of tasks and job responsibilities consistently.
- General Responsibilities
- Follow facility GMPs and enforce them throughout the facility.
- Support the company's efforts to maintain its food safety system (SQF) and quality and sanitation programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google applications required.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required; fluency in Spanish preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working in food quality / food safety, preferred.
- Must attain ServSafe Manager certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to use, maintain, and interpret results of laboratory and quality equipment and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of filling and weighing equipment.
- Knowledge of metal detection, preferred.

California Pay Range:
- $69,000 - $75,000 USD
