FSP Functional Lead for Medical Writing

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for Medical Writing groups
• Recruit and motivate staff for performance excellence
• Develop organizational structure and communicate departmental goals
• Lead departmental change initiatives to align with strategic goals
• Manage departmental budget development and oversight
• Build collaborative relationships with internal departments
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Medical Writing projects

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in medical writing or related field
• 7+ years of management responsibility
• Advanced leadership skills
• Strong understanding of global/regional medical writing requirements
• Proficient in project management and budget creation

Pay

$245,000 – $260,000 annually
