Fryer Operator - Cooked - 2nd Shift - Demopolis

Position Summary

The Fryer Machine Operator is responsible for preparing the setup/take down of corndog fryers to meet daily production schedules. This role maintains fryers in an efficient operating manner by maintaining oil level, supplying sticks to machines, and keeping batter tanks and fryers clean while adhering to quality, productivity, and safety standards. This position works closely with department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Maintain fryers in an efficient-operating manner.
• Maintain oil level, supply sticks to machine, and keep corndog batter clean.
• Prepare setup/take down of corndog fryers to meet daily production schedule.
• Don proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Execute processes ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting Foster Poultry Farms' mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor.
• Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48 degrees) and hot (80+ degrees) environment.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have an HS diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels including management.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have decision-making ability for flagging deviations from procedures.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and clean-up is preferred.
• Must possess good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for coworkers.
• Must be able to safely operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
• Must wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
