Fryer Operator
Daily Duties
- Prepare fryer for the day (install screens, fill oil and check for problems)
- Fill pellet hoppers
- Maintain proper oil temperature and dwell time
- Use correct blend of pellets for Bulk Density
- Run necessary amounts of pellets through augers and into the fryer
- Season the proper amount of pork rinds
- Manage product overflow containers
- Check bulk density every hour
- Keep track of all pallets/boxes of pellets used and all bags of seasoning used for record keeping
- Scan items in E21
- Keep accurate records of E21
- Unload pellet shipments and maintain inventory counts
Safety Responsibilities
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Follow all Food Safety regulations
- Wear proper PPEs, including hearing protection in all areas of the plant
- Follow all common employee safety practices
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
