About the role

This position is part of the annual main settlement regarding the TV entertainment collective agreement. The union and employer side did not reach an agreement, and the parties will meet with the National Mediator on August 17. A strike may be necessary.

Productions affected by first strike notice

The following productions will be affected in the first round if a strike occurs:

• Varulv
• Fjellhytta
• Farmen kjendis
• 71° nord kjendis
• Fra bølle til bestevenn
• Skal vi danse
• Mesternes mester team
• Kokkeskolen

Everyone affected by a potential first strike notice has received a separate email and SMS.

Union demands

The union's demands are reasonable and necessary to ensure the industry retains valuable expertise and people who are passionate about creating great TV and film. Key priorities include:

• Having a job to go to
• A livable wage
• A good working environment
• Balance between job and free time

Negotiation process

The union leader and negotiating committee are prepared for the meeting with the National Mediator on Monday and will not give in. However, strike action is always a last resort, and the goal is to find a solution through negotiations. It is common to sit for many hours of overtime at the National Mediator, making it difficult to predict when a potential strike will start.
