About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Froster and Joy Creator. This dual-role position involves both frosting our Signature Bundt Cakes to perfection and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Froster responsibilities:
  • Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer, and pastry bag to frost cakes.
  • Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels.
  • Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes; maintain product rotation standards; and keep frosting and refrigeration logs.
  • Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required.
  • Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation; ensure frosting supplies are prepared for the next shift; wash equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including dress code and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality.
• Joy Creator responsibilities:
  • Promptly greet walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm; determine interests and needs; follow NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinctions, size and flavor profiles, pricing, special promotions, and complementary retail merchandise.
  • Suggest additional merchandise, including balloons, candles, and cards, to complete unique celebrations.
  • Process guest orders efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system; invite guests to join the NbC Email Club for special promotions.
  • Uphold a clean and organized bakery presentation, including routine sweeping/mopping of floors and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Replenish retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure strong visual presentation.
  • Assist the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including dress code and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality.
