Frontend Engineer

About the role

Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)

Responsibilities

• Refining the UI of Cockpit, our satellite operations software
• Empowering end-users with powerful satellite management capabilities
• Collaborating with peers on the Frontend Engineering team
• Interface with the wider Software team

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
• Experience with Vue or React
• Experience working on SPAs
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress))

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience with Web Components
• Nice to have: Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries - e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
• Nice to have: Interest in Space or Aerospace - No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
• Nice to have: UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer, just to care about that)

• State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $140,000- $190,000 per year.
