Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities. AMS is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Front Office Manager to support daily campus operations at our Little Rock, Arkansas campus.
Responsibilities
- Front Office Operations & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary front office representative and greet students, families, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
- Operate a multi-line phone system and manage incoming calls, messages, and general inquiries
- Manage front-office email communication and direct inquiries appropriately
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming front office environment
- Attendance & Student Records
- Maintain daily student attendance records and assist with attendance reporting
- Manage student files and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with school requirements
- Support student enrollment and registration processes as needed
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate scheduling, calendars, and front-office logistics
- Support campus leadership and staff with administrative documentation and forms
- Assist with preparation and logistics for school-wide events such as parent conferences, testing windows, and enrollment periods
- Maintain visitor management procedures, security logs, and building entry protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 tools)
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced school environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Commitment to supporting students and families in diverse and underserved communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a school, charter school network, or high-volume office environment
- Experience using student information systems (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, or similar platforms)
Pay
$37,000 - $40,000.00 annually (DOE)
