Reports to: Administration Supervisor
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is mandatory.
About the Role
The Front Desk Coordinator will provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of front office activities. This role involves managing clinic administrative operations, including scheduling, insurance verification, patient payments, and communication via phone and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Patient Check-In: Handle all aspects of patient appointment scheduling, insurance verification, creation and maintenance of digital patient records, scanning and filing documents, managing incoming phone calls, and document management (e-faxes, outstanding requests for information). Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Patient Check-Out: Provide administrative support for closing patient visits, including posting payments, coordinating with clinical staff, scheduling return appointments, and obtaining necessary signatures. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to key 40 words per minute with accuracy (preferred)
- Understanding of medical reimbursement, terminology, and general office duties
- Proficient in Windows-based office technologies (e.g., Word, Excel), email, and web-based portals
- Ability to operate office equipment (computers, scanners, signature pads, phone systems)
- High School Diploma (required)
- Experience in reception and/or customer service in a high-volume environment
- Healthcare industry experience (preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Well-lighted office environment with moderate noise
- Sitting approximately 90% of the day; walking or standing for the remainder
- Continuous use of hands for keyboarding and data entry
- Onsite attendance is mandatory
- Ability to maintain work schedule and handle workflow stamina
Pay
$17 - $19 per hour, depending on experience

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
