About the role
As a Shift Supervisor, you will orchestrate exceptional food service, unbeatable customer service, and smooth operations. You'll manage the dining room—including servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and food runners—by directing and motivating your team to deliver casual fine dining food and provide customer service that elicits genuine smiles from our customers. Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate employees through constant communication during service
- Ensure guests always receive exceptional customer service
- Monitor food quality as it moves from the kitchen to the dining room; ensure food is prepared and served in the appropriate quantity and with the utmost quality
- Ensure operations comply with sanitation and safety standards
- Perform start-up and shut-down of restaurant equipment and processes (opening/closing shifts)
- Jump in to assist all front-of-house positions during peak hours of operation
- Perform administrative duties including required shift reports, both written and using the POS system
Requirements
- A high school diploma; associate degree in culinary studies or food and hospitality management is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management; full-service and fine dining experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point of Sale systems (Toast)
- Ability to be on your feet at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear and professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize efficiently
- A personable, friendly, and outgoing personality; must enjoy interacting with, motivating, and assisting others
