FRONT OF HOUSE LEAD SUPERVISOR (FULL AND PART TIME)

About the role

Location: Brooklyn Botanic Garden - 990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225. Monitors the food service operation to ensure production of top quality products and service.

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory management to maintain high valuation and minimal waste.
• Ensures that staff is on task, quality assurance standards are being met, and the operation is clean and organized.
• Monitors marketing, confirming that signage is current and appropriate.
• Upholds policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and client expectations.
• Adheres to safety policies including use of medium weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer; use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans; use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous restaurant experience required.
• Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.

Qualifications

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Pay

Pay Range: $32.00 per hour to $35.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full and part time; Days and hours may vary. Weekend, holiday, evening, and morning availability is required.
