Responsibilities
- Lead by example in all that you do, demonstrating and guided by Shermco's Core Principles.
- Provide work direction to effectively execute customer jobs according to scope and budget; ensure technicians have tools and equipment needed to be successful.
- Use appropriate discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- Conduct weekly review of safety training completion of your assigned technicians, ensuring they are current on required training, and ensuring they understand and implement EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure technicians properly use JHA, AHA, Lifted Conductor, Energized Work Permits.
- Role model and mentor technicians on Human Performance principles and tools.
- Perform technical skills assessments of technicians, log their proficiency, maintain their skills matrix quarterly, develop career paths and individual training plans, and ensure they are getting exposed to new learning opportunities and OJT.
- Absolutely ensure data sheets are current, accurate, and timely, that they understand all SOPs and use them properly, and that accurate customer data is reported and accurate reports are completed on-time.
- Assist and guide technicians in studying for and passing certification exams.
- Ensure your team demonstrates the SHERMCO DIFFERENCE, providing and teaching exceptional customer service.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and approved change orders are obtained from customers.
- Tech and mentor technicians on how to effectively run jobs.
- Deliver key messages to technicians in an appropriate and timely manner, escalating questions on business issues that can't be resolved locally.
- Check in with direct reports regularly and be available to them when needed.
- Communicate regularly with other Field Service Supervisors and Department Management to ensure open two-way communication, meeting with supervisory group at least monthly.
- Provide regular and ongoing feedback to technicians, addressing performance concerns as they arise, and issuing approved disciplinary action.
- Write and conduct performance reviews annually per Shermco procedures and provide appropriate recommendations for merit raises per policy.
Qualifications
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
- Must be computer proficient using email, data entry, and basic Microsoft Office.
- Must have 2+ years of training, education, and experience in the related work supervised.
- Must be current on safety training.
- Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a satisfactory MVR report, Background Check, and Drug Test results.
- Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and periodic weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Must be in good standing with Shermco with a satisfactory performance record.
- Must be willing to travel; minimum 40%.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Pay
Pay Range: USD $45.00 - USD $5.00 /Hr.
