We are developing the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort, the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program. This position is onsite at the Rotors Service Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
About the Role
As a Front-Line Leader, you will oversee the execution and performance of an assigned manufacturing area, managing up to 25 union-covered employees. Your responsibilities include assigning and directing daily manufacturing activities, driving performance, safety, and quality, managing costs, and handling employee relations. This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule (3:00 PM–12:00 AM) with mandatory overtime and weekend shifts (rotating every 4 weeks).
Responsibilities
- Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
- Conduct employee disciplines when necessary.
- Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Utilize metrics-driven accountability for performance: TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.
- Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment, collaborating with functions like Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Quality.
- Develop, support, and implement process improvements.
- Evaluate business impact regarding metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, and manpower.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- At least 2 years of manufacturing environment experience (required).
- At least 3 years of proven success in a professional leadership role (preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and data-driven with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work multiple shifts.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
- Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (desired).
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) (preferred).
- Machining experience (preferred).

Mental & Physical Requirements
- Mental: Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and judgment. Must analyze situations and respond to problems to meet internal and external customer demands.
- Physical: Assigned to a distribution environment. Must assist direct reports, use a computer terminal frequently, and interface with managerial, office, and hourly employees. Required to wear appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-U.S. persons must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information.
