Front-End Web Developer Co-Op
Job Description
The Front-End Web Developer Co-op will build and maintain websites and web-based applications that support the company's goals and strategic initiatives. This role involves front-end development and the potential to assist with back-end development tasks, ensuring websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, secure, and optimized for performance.
Essential Job Duties
- Build responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages.
- Experience with VB.NET framework or similar.
- Design website architecture and user interfaces based on client or project requirements.
- Provide website maintenance and enhancements.
- Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Conduct routine site audits and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and SEO.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web performance, integrations, and user experience.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work independently, anticipate questions or problems, and work through a solution.
- Ability to organize and stay on top of several different projects at once.
- Ability to coordinate, plan, and manage projects.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET Framework, cross browser compatibility, responsive design, Sitefinity (or similar content management systems), human/computer interaction experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience successfully working in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in New Media Interactive Development, Web Development, or related field (preferred).
- 2 Years Web Development Experience.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with Content Management Systems.
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, and data formats (JSON, XML).
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to do essential duties.
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time. Primary work environment is professional corporate office.
