Front End Loader-Operator (Augusta, GA) – Austin Industrial (NUTR)

About the role

Austin Industrial delivers premier maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to leading industrial companies across the U.S. This full-time permanent position involves operating a front-end loader to lift, move, position, and reposition loads, as well as transporting products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader (wheel loader or bucket loader) under general supervision to load trucks and move/fill hoppers.
• Provide certifications for heavy equipment operation.
• Manipulate controls to regulate speed and direction of loader and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to plant contact and Austin Industrial supervision.
• Perform daily safety inspections and cleaning of the front-end loader.
• Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and other necessary paperwork.
• Follow all Austin Industrial and plant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Operate mobile sweeper, perform wash-down tasks, and shovel in hard-to-reach areas as required.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, respirators, safety harness, fire-resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
• Perform physical tasks requiring full range of mobility, including reaching overhead, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and working at heights for extended periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of front-end loader operating experience.
• Must provide certification for heavy equipment operation.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position).
