Front End Developer (UI/UX)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-End Developer to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor.

This fully remote, full-time role offers the opportunity to work on pioneering software tools tailored for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Solid experience with C# and .NET framework
• Strong understanding of WPF, including Bindings, Styles, Templates, and Resources
• Practical experience with MVVM architecture (e.g., CommunityToolkit.Mvvm or similar)
• Able to develop UI with a clear separation of concerns
• Experience with dependency injection and application composition (e.g., Microsoft.Extensions.Hosting)
• Proficiency in building data-driven UIs and managing complex state
• Comfortable working asynchronously within a globally distributed remote team
• Full professional fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WPF desktop applications adhering to a strict MVVM architecture
• Create and implement 2D and 3D viewports to visualize engineering data effectively
• Build state-driven user interfaces to support complex engineering workflows
• Integrate UI components with .NET backend services and external systems for seamless functionality
• Ensure correct command behaviors, including enable/disable states, asynchronous execution, and UI responsiveness
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, and consistency of the application
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to follow established design language and improve user experience
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand and implement domain-specific workflows and features
