About the Role
Maximus TCS is seeking a highly skilled Front-End Software Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing user interfaces for complex systems, ensuring an intuitive and efficient user experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMO and stakeholders, to translate requirements into functional UI components, wireframes, and mockups. The position offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects within a secure environment, contributing to national security and technological advancements.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance is required; Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and related functional areas.
- At least 10 years of experience in object-oriented and scripted programming languages, with proficiency in DevSecOps, microservices, and containerization tools.
- 5+ years of recent experience in front-end web design and development.
- Proven ability to prepare, conduct, and document system tests to verify operability and compliance with standards.
- Experience in agile, user-centric application design, adhering to UI/UX best practices.
- Experience generating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes considering multiple user personas.
- Proficiency with UX design tools such as Sketch, InVision, or similar software.
- At least 5 years of experience with bug tracking tools like Jira.
- Experience testing web-based applications across various browsers and devices.
- Leadership experience managing software development programs or projects.
- Practical experience in cloud environments, including designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based software.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile software development frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks related to front-end design and development, including creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and documentation for review and approval.
- Plan and implement modifications to GUIs to enhance usability, system navigation, and operator efficiency.
- Construct and optimize UI elements to ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and PMO to gather requirements and translate them into functional UI components and prototypes.
- Facilitate user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to improve user experience.
- Conduct system testing to verify functionality, security, and compliance with project standards.
- Maintain knowledge of current UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices to ensure innovative and effective designs.
- Lead and coordinate software development efforts within an Agile environment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Document technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals as required.
- Engage with DevSecOps teams to integrate front-end components into CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed UI components, addressing bugs and performance issues promptly.
