About the role

The Front-End Developer will assist in building Beacon Signal, our internal Insights and AI web application. Signal is a practice management and clinical intelligence platform that pulls live data from our EHR, HRIS, ATS, and CRM systems to surface actionable insights for clinical and operations leaders. This role involves creating interfaces used daily by clinical directors, program managers, and executives, including KPI dashboards, risk scoring tools, compliance trackers, and AI-generated insight summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with data engineers and AI engineers to build front ends for pipelines and models they deliver.

  • Create Node.js/JavaScript services (Azure Functions) supporting the front end.
  • Integrate with Cosmos DB-backed APIs and Entra ID authentication.
  • Design data-dense, visual interfaces (KPI gauges, tiered risk indicators, compliance scorecards) prioritizing clarity and information density over decoration.
  • Help create a data-driven workflow to respond to data indicators and triggers.
  • Build AI-powered features: summarization views, insight surfacing, and interfaces consuming outputs from our AI/RPA layer.
  • Comply with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Participate in leadership calls and report on applicable KPIs reflecting team performance.
  • Preserve and protect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of medical records and proprietary information in accordance with HIPAA and contract terms.
  • Promote Beacon’s core values and maintain a positive, trauma-informed work environment.
  • Monitor and address negative workplace behaviors such as gossip, harassment, or favoritism.
  • Maintain a safe community environment and workplace.
  • Follow Beacon’s policies, procedures, and manuals, and cooperate with regulatory bodies during inspections or investigations.
  • Accept other duties as assigned.

  • Directing and Controlling: Ability to create a motivating climate and measure work progress.
  • Decision Making: Quality and timeliness of decisions.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to assess problems, identify solutions, and achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Solid production experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Git-based workflow experience (GitHub, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Must pass criminal background checks, central registry check (in applicable states), and child abuse registry (in applicable states).
  • Must complete and pass a drug test in applicable states.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Approved by state, federal, and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.

Skills

  • Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT) as part of your regular development workflow.
  • Ability to work from a spec and ship independently; preference for finished deliverables over lengthy discovery cycles.
