Front Desk Supervisor
About the role
Assist with management of all aspects of Front Desk operations: Scheduling, training, coaching, discipline, etc.
Act as an example of excellent guest service for the team
Communicate effectively with all departments & managers to ensure coordination with arrivals, departures, guest needs, etc.
Responsibilities
- Register and assign rooms to guests, maintaining knowledge of availability for walk-in guests
- Communicate with housekeeping to update the status of room readiness, arrivals, and departures
- Inform guests of special events or activities around the hotel and in the surround area
- Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor
- Aid in setting up rooms for special events, meetings, conferences and banquets
- Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed
- Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
Requirements
- Hotel Management degree or 1-2 years related management experience required
- 1-2 years previous hotel front desk experience required
- Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
- Willingness and ability to work solo or as part of a team
- Commitment to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
- Organization with a great eye for detail
- Kindness to others and always bringing your best
- A good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
