Front Desk Representative

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, stress tolerance, reading, writing, basic math, interpersonal skills, technology proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, practice management, EMR, Clockwise), organization, attention to detail, efficient task completion, professional appearance, knowledge of insurance/medical terms and policies (preferred)

Essential Functions

• Obtain and enter necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
• Greet patients and handle check-in/check-out process using Clockwise system
• Enter demographics and scan patient information into EMR and properly log patient into system
• Verify patient demographic and insurance information, updating as needed
• Collect patient payments
• Answer and respond to inquiries; forward messages from patients, pharmacies, and other providers to clinical staff according to company protocol
• Maintain accurate accounting of cash drawer during shift
• Call patients to follow up on their visit to MAUC, as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of office, particularly lobby and registration area
