About the Role
This role provides essential administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our medical clinic. Working closely with providers and patients, the Front Desk Receptionist will manage tasks related to patient care, organization, and communication with accuracy, quality, and promptness. As the first point of contact in the clinic, this position plays a crucial role in problem-solving, organization, and time management to facilitate smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Check patients in and out
- Use various computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Update and file patient medical records
- Insurance verification and obtain consent forms
- Return patients' phone calls daily and timely
- Process patient referrals
- Answer and route phone calls accurately and greet patients
- Follow all organizational policies on safety and security; maintain restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry codes and computer system passwords
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a receptionist
- Bilingual (English and another language preferred)
