About the role
Visionist is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to support our headquarters in Columbia, MD. With over 15 years of experience solving complex software and analysis challenges for the Intelligence Community, Visionist is a 100% employee-owned company committed to its people. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, assist with facility needs, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage visitor check-in/out, process mail, and interact with employees, contractors, and guests
- Afford assistance with facility needs, including conference room scheduling, office supply purchasing and inventory, vendor deliveries and service appointments
- Answer questions regarding facility-related activities, policies, and programs
- Prepare and distribute a variety of reports, graphs, tables, and charts
- Respond to emails and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Support program onboarding, data collection, and manage visitor coordination
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional education or certifications in event planning and/or marketing are a plus
- 1 to 3 years of office-related experience preferred
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
- Occasional evening or after-hours event support is required; time worked outside of regular business hours is paid
- Demonstrated experience with event planning is required
- Experience providing a high level of customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask while staying organized and detail-oriented
- Strong time management skills
- Customer service-oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
