Front Desk Coordinator
About the role
Azura Vascular Care is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Coordinator for their Garden Grove, CA surgery center. The role operates Monday through Saturday from 7:30am-4:00pm, with (5) 8-hour shifts, including one Saturday per month. The coordinator will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and arrange transportation.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and input all appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Schedule and manage patient cancellations, center cancellations, and additions to the schedule.
- Print patient schedules and pull patient charts daily.
- Facilitate the admission process by greeting patients and obtaining necessary identification and insurance information.
- Assemble and maintain patient medical records and financial records securely.
- Ensure accurate information is entered into the computer registration module and complete the insurance verification process.
- Assist with patient transportation if eligible according to the company's policy.
- Ensure appropriate signatures are included on all necessary chart and admissions data.
- Scan and file documents within 24 hours of the visit, including physician reports to referral sources.
- Communicate any changes regarding procedures and insurance identified during the patient visit to relevant internal parties and the patient record.
- Perform daily encounter checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate collection processing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, and distribution of medical records.
- Maintain logs of medical record releases and provide information to parties involved in research or studies involving patient care and service utilization.
- Oversee the movement of materials into and out of the office, including inventory shipments and deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ related experience preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing.
- Proficient in using computers and related software such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to supporting software applications.
Skills
- EMR experience.
- MS Outlook and Excel experience.
- Excellent phone skills.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies. Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $27.00
