Front Desk Clerk (7am - 3pm)
Location: Louisville, KY 40213 | Pay Range: $17.00 per hour

Accommodate hotel guests by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests, making and confirming reservations, answering PBX calls, and connecting callers to the appropriate extension. Collect guest player club information while making Marketing room reservations. Use the PMS to assist hotel guests at check-in and check-out.
Responsibilities
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to hotel guests
- Verify guest identification and establish payment methods for accommodations
- Issue room keys and relay instructions to bellhops
- Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts on computer
- Compute bills and collect payments in Visual One
- Make and confirm reservations
- Answer PBX calls and route calls to proper extensions
- Answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and other activities connected with the hotel, casino, or entertainment complex
- Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
- Perform simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts
- Record guest comments or complaints, referring guests to supervisor if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hotel front desk experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Experience in money handling
