Responsibilities

• Warms members and guests
• Answers calls professionally and transfers promptly
• Checks in members and signs them up
• Registers prospective members and directs them to the membership department
• Addresses member questions and directs to appropriate assistance
• Sells retail items and rings up purchases
• Maintains a professional image and behavior
• Responds to guest inquiries and escalates issues to management
• Provides information about special events
• Reports unsafe conditions and emergencies
• Keeps the front desk and lobby clean
• Performs opening and closing procedures
• Attends meetings
• Assists with inventory and product pricing
• Calls past due members

Requirements

• Energetic and friendly personality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service focus
• Ability to follow instructions
• Able to multitask and pay attention to detail
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Adheres to meal and rest breaks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR/AED certification
• 6 months’ customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality or food service industry
• Experience with multiple phone lines preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Physical requirements: standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for full shifts
