Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule patient appointments
Using the office's scheduling system.
Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar.
- Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.

- Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork.
- Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean, organized, and inviting.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other general administrative tasks.
- Provide information and directions to patients, creating a comfortable and stress-free environment.
- Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to handle patient concerns and inquiries with patience and empathy.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies.
- It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day.
