About the role
A Front Desk Agent represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guests stay. These clerks work directly with the public and are often the first impression that anyone has of the hotel. It is important that you be able to work well under pressure and maintain a consistently pleasant and professional personality when communicating with the public.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and assisting them with their needs
- Processing reservations and cancellations
- Handling guest complaints and inquiries
- Managing room keys and other guest amenities
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of guest rooms and common areas
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
- Customer service orientation
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
