Front Desk Agent, Prince of Wales Hotel
About the role
This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring, it will be a full time seasonal role until October 13th.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a welcoming and enthusiastic manner
- Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel and the National Park offering guests information about hotel history, available services, points of interest in the surrounding area, and entertainment options
- Register and assign rooms to guests, maintaining knowledge of availability for walk-in guests
- Aids management with responding to reviews, surveys, comments and feedback via phone, email, software, and in person
- Aids guests with elevator, and luggage as needed
- Communicates effectively with the housekeeping, bell and maintenance departments to update the status of room readiness, arrivals, and departures
- Aids as liaison between hotel management and guests to communicate, and respond appropriately in emergency situations and incident reporting
- Handles telephone and email communication including reservations, inquiries, disputes, and handovers between guests and front office team
- Manages multiple software systems that communicate with various departments to ensure operational needs
- Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to appropriate departments
- Aids with cleaning, sanitization, and organization of the front office/lobby to prepare for each day
- Listens to guest concerns and resolves issues to the best of your ability
- Carefully tracks/handles cash, credit, and room charges to ensure accurate payments making daily deposits
- Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed
- Aids with night audit coverage as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Front Desk experience strongly preferred
- Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
- Willing and able to work solo or as a part of a larger team
- Committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
- Organized with a great eye for detail
- Kind to others and always bring your best
- A good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions

Pay
The starting wage for this role is $18.50/hour.
