Front Desk Agent, Part Time 3:00 to 11:00 PM | Courtyard, Bloomington

About the role

This position is responsible for anticipating guest needs, providing solutions to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed their expectations while adhering to the company’s standards of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
• Provide the highest level of service, including processing check-ins and check-outs, verifying billing, creating reservations, and handling special requests.
• Assist guests by knowing the hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
• Work as a team player to meet guest needs and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments when necessary.
• Understand and follow the company’s guest service recovery program.
• Follow proper selling techniques and utilize strategies to maximize room revenues, including upselling rooms and amenities.
• Monitor room availability, follow restrictions, and adhere to all booking policies and procedures.
• Follow company procedures when handling cash and processing financial transactions.
• Ensure proper use of all equipment and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
• Produce the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties.
• Adhere to company general work rules, department procedures, and policies.
• Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow all company procedures for guest/associate incidents.
• Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.

Schedule

Part-time: Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday when needed.

Pay

$16.50 - $17.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
