Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, visitors, and Curators with genuine warmth, professionalism, eye contact, and prompt attention.
- Create a smooth and personalized arrival and departure experience for every guest.
- Register guests with advance reservations efficiently and accurately while ensuring their preferences are properly reflected in their accounts.
- Assist guests looking for accommodations and help identify the best options to meet their needs.
- Set up accurate guest accounts, including room type, payment method, and other preferences.
- Accommodate room changes quickly and thoughtfully when a guest's needs change.
- Become an expert on NOUN Hotel, including room types, layouts, rates, promotions, amenities, restaurant offerings, hours of operation, and property details.
- Share recommendations for Oklahoma City attractions, community events, restaurants, and other areas of interest.
- Respond to guest questions and requests with accurate, helpful, and friendly information.
- Listen to guest concerns with empathy and help resolve issues in a way that restores guest satisfaction.
- Escalate service concerns to Management appropriately and participate in thoughtful service recovery.
- Process guest check-outs, settle accounts, and accurately handle payments according to accounting and cash-handling procedures.
- Communicate important guest information to other departments, including special requests and amenity deliveries.
- Work closely with Valet, Bell, Sales, Accounting, and other hotel teams to create a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain proper key control, protect guest information, and follow all hotel security procedures.
- Handle lost and found items appropriately and ensure they are documented and secured according to hotel procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuously look for ways to strengthen your knowledge and service skills.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous hotel, hospitality, or Front Desk experience preferred.
- Previous cashier experience and basic accounting knowledge preferred.
- Ability to clearly and professionally communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter information into computer systems.
- Ability to learn and communicate knowledge of hotel facilities, services, amenities, rates, promotions, and local attractions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented when handling guest concerns.
- Ability to follow cash-handling, accounting, security, safety, and confidentiality procedures.
- Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a busy Front Office environment with frequent guest interaction.
- Ability to work in crowded or close-quarter office and Front Desk areas.
- Ability to remain attentive and professional while working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Ability to use computers, telephones, printers, keyboards, and other standard Front Office equipment.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and meet all grooming and uniform standards.
