Front Desk Agent/Bartender

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location, and answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Up-sell rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures, including posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and counting/securing assigned bank.
• Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
• Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer service experience
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 30 pounds
• Basic knowledge of computers and software including ability to use e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet software and hotel management system
• Food Handlers Card preferred
• 1-year previous bartender experience preferred
• Prepared drinks to industry and brand standards
• Maintain a knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients and prep time
• Perform responsible alcohol service per brand standards
• Work in a team environment, assist other servers/team members as needed
• Enter all orders into the POS

$18.25 - $18.75 per hour

About the Role

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel quickly, efficiently and courteously using the property management system; processing all payments according to established hotel policies and requirements; and providing information and customer service to guests and visitors of the hotel.

As Bartender, you are responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar. You are also responsible for creating an enjoyable experience for our guests while providing friendly, accurate and efficient service.
