Front Desk Agent

Job Summary

We're seeking a passionate Front Desk Agent for our dual property hotel, AC Hotel and Residence Inn Reston, located at the Reston Town Center Metrorail Station. The hotel, which opened in January 2025, features 267 rooms, a rooftop bar, and a full-service restaurant. It also boasts over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, an indoor heated pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Essential Functions

• Welcome guests to the hotel and ensure a smooth check-in process.
• Process payments and provide local insights to guests.
• Handle the hotel phone system, transfer calls, and take messages.
• Accurately take, modify, and cancel guestroom reservations.
• Deal with inquiries, requests, and complaints from guests.
• Cook up to coordinate with other departments to fulfill guests' special requests.
• Perform cashier duties, cash traveler’s checks, post phone charges, and handle miscellaneous charges.
• Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with guestrooms or grounds.
• Follow in-house procedures to help ensure the security of guests and employees.
• Know hotel emergency procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Front Office area.

Additional Responsibilities

• The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
• Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands.
• Employees are required to adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel.
