Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient check-in, check-out, and reservation services to all guests and callers.
  • Record reservations received verbally or in writing and enter them into the hotel computer system.
  • Quote room rates and availability, and process or cancel reservations following established procedures.
  • Answer all Front Desk telephone calls promptly, routing calls and providing assistance or information as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate closely with other departments, including Housekeeping, Group Sales, and VIP Services, to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Process accurate cash and credit card transactions.
  • Inform guests about all required information and answer questions regarding the resort and local area attractions.
  • Promote the hotel/casino and all its services and facilities.
  • Qualifications

    • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • At least 1 month of guest service experience.
    • Strong written, communication, and computer skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
    • A professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
    • Requires lifting objects up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a setting that may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
