About the role

The Scientific Communicator role at AstraZeneca involves transforming complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights for healthcare professionals. This position requires close collaboration with global teams to develop and deliver scientific content strategies that enhance the understanding and use of AstraZeneca products. The successful candidate will ensure that medical information is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain scientific materials, including narratives, MSL resources, infographics, and FAQs.
• Provide accurate and scientifically balanced responses to medical inquiries from healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with global partners to ensure content aligns with strategic priorities and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Conduct literature searches and appraise scientific evidence; ensure appropriate use and permissions for all sourced content.
• Translate sophisticated scientific data into clear messages that support therapeutic area objectives.
• Perform reviews to uphold standards for scientific integrity and compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency.
• Drive the adoption of digital solutions to modernize scientific content delivery.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD preferred, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
• 3-5 years of experience in scientific communications or related roles.
• Clinical and healthcare systems expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in scientific/medical writing and content creation.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across teams or functions.
• Competence in applying technology/platforms.

Skills

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and analyze scientific literature.
• Experience in developing digital content and/or strategy.
• Ability to apply local regulatory and compliance requirements.
