Friends of Mentor A Promise Fundraising Manager (Volunteer)
About Mentor A Promise
Mentor A Promise (MAP) is a New York City‑based nonprofit that supports children and youth ages 5–18 experiencing housing instability. MAP delivers mentorship, literacy, social‑emotional learning, and creative‑expression programming in shelters, schools, and community spaces. Signature experiences such as The Imagination Studio, The Kitchen Table, The Sound Lab, and The Story Space nurture academic development, emotional well‑being, and creative voice within a trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and accessibility‑centered framework.
About Friends of Mentor A Promise
Friends of Mentor A Promise is MAP’s community of supporters—individuals, families, professionals, alumni, volunteers, and other allies—who help sustain MAP’s mission. Friends may contribute through individual giving, peer‑to‑peer fundraising, recurring donations, campaigns, community events, workplace giving, introductions, volunteer engagement, awareness‑building, and other approved forms of support. The initiative aims to transform interest in MAP into a lasting, engaged community rather than a simple donor list.
