Friction Operator

Description

Operate presses, sanders, and common hand tools in a safe, efficient manner. Measure/weight friction compounds in compliance with work instructions. Keep and promote a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

• Operate presses, sanders, and common hand tools.
• Position parts according to work instructions or following blueprints.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners as applicable.
• Remove small quantities of material with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Participate in and support Carlisle Operating System (COS) initiatives.
• Identify continuous improvement projects utilizing lean and six sigma principles to drive operational excellence and improve profitability.
• Promote waste identification and elimination by utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles of Kaizen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to six months of employment experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical or machinery related experience and/or training preferred.

Pay

• Individual bonus target of 3% in the CentroMotion - Fiscal Year 2026 (January 1 – December 31) Bonus Program.
