About the role

The Associate Chief of Specialty Care Medicine will support the Chief of Specialty Care in managing the Specialty Care Medicine Service and its sections and areas. This position is part of the VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS), which provides patient-centered care in an integrated environment supporting learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief of Specialty Care in clinical and administrative management of Specialty Care Medicine Service and its sections and areas.
• Provide high-quality veteran-centered care within their area of subspecialty.
• Lead and supervise a team of healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• A medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
• Eligibility to obtain a US medical license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for appointment at the VA.

Benefits

VACCHCS provides a reasonable salary estimate for this position ranging from $275,000 to $350,000. Additional information can be found at usajobs.gov/job/836025600.
